Vickery Environmental, Inc. is a unique facility that specializes in deepwell injection for industrial wastewater disposal. By using deepwell injection, Vickery can provide its customers with a "rock solid solution" to their hazardous and non-hazardous wastewater disposal needs.

Located in northwestern Ohio, near the Ohio Turnpike, this state-of-the-art facility is situated on 500+ acres in the rural community of Vickery. Our customers enjoy convenient highway and rail access to the facility and cost-effective receiving, storage and disposal services. They also rely on the friendly, professional staff that operates the facility, and the financial assurance that comes from being a part of Waste Management.

Vickery can accept nearly all types of hazardous and non-hazardous aqueous wastewater from industrial operations, including those subject to Land Disposal Restrictions.

WHAT IS DEEPWELL INJECTION?

Deepwell Injection is a technologically advanced method for disposing aqueous solutions such as acids and brines from industrial operations. Wastes accepted for this disposal method are blended, filtered, and then injected under pressure through special Class I Underground Injection Wells into an isolated rock layer far below the Earth's surface. At Vickery this rock layer is the Mt. Simon Formation. This natural depository is located 1/2 mile or more below the ground surface.

Deepwell injection is the only disposal technology that has been successfully demonstrated to have no harmful effects on human health or the environment. After deepwell injection, wastes and their dissolved constituents remain trapped inside the natural rock deposits indefinitely.
