Waste Management provides residential solid waste collection services for municipalities, regional authorities, single-family homes, individual subscription services and homeowner associations across North America. We are able to maximize productivity through efficient routing and dedicated employees who provide excellent customers service.

Curbside Recycling
|
|

Single Family dwelling units will be provided one 64-gallon burgundy commingled cart and one 64-gallon gree waste cart. We shall provide weekly curbside/street side recycling collection on the same day as your garbage service day. On-property service will be provided for doctor certified disabled customers. Residents shall be limited to one free cart replacement per any 12 month period due to stolen carts.
Multi-Family dwelling units may request in-door recycling bags for use in collecting recyclable materials prior to placing them in the regular outdoor recycling containers provided by the company.
Recycling-only cleanups are provided to residents at no extra charge. You may set out flattened and bundled cardboard no greater than 4 feet by 4 feet for individual pieces of cardboard. You must call in advance to set up a cleanup appointment. The recyclable materials should be put out at the curbside the night before the appointed date. We also rent out large dumpsters (7, 20 & 30 yard boxes) for $350.00 per haul + $?? per ton depending on the type of recyclable material being hauled Here are the prices per ton:
$50.00 for Clean Concrete;
$50.00 to $55.00 for Concrete with Steel;
$50.00 for Asphalt;
$50.00 for Mixed Construction & Demolition (C&D);
$50.00 for Clean Dirt w/ Gavel or Sod w/ Dirt;
$125.00 for Dirt w/ Boulders, Concrete or Asphalt;
$50.00 for Clean Unpainted or Untreated Wood;
$50.00 for Green Waste;
$50.00 for Stucco only; and,
$50.00 for Mixed Paper or Cardboard.

Yard Waste
|

The green waste-only cleanups are also provided to residents at no extra charge. There is a minimum of 8 bags or bundles and a maximum of 14 32-gallon plastic bags equivalent to 2 cubic yards. The acceptable items are grass, tree trimmings, prunings and leaves. The unacceptable items are poison oak or ivy, palm leaves, cactus, bamboo shoots, manure or pet waste, dirt, rock or gravel. Please call our Customer Service Department in advance at (925) 935-8900 to set up an appointment.

The Small Business Program. The Central Contra Costa Solid Waste Authority and Valley Waste Management have teamed up to provide eligible small businesses subsidized recycling collection service. Our Small Business Program entitles you to a weekly recycling service at no additional charge. In addition, by diverting these materials from your garbage, you may be able to switch to a smaller waste container or reduce frequency of collection, thereby saving on your garbage bill. To qualify for this free service, as a business, you have to have your own garbage collection account and a garbage service of 2 yard or less per week. Please contact us for the survey form you have to fill out so he can evaluate your waste stream and determine the best recycling bin for your needs. We will provide a free commingled recycling container where you can recycle material such as cardboard, magazines, brochures, junk mail, copy paper, colored paper, newspaper, phone books, corrugated boxes, envelopes, paper packaging, glass bottles, aluminum, tin & bi-metal cans and plastic containers with recycling symbol #1 - 5 & #7.

Materials Accepted - paper, cardboard, aluminum, metal cans & scrap, glass containers, plastics (No. 1 - 5 & 7) No styrofoam, electronic equipment, furniture, kitchen or bathroom products are accepted. Violators will be prosecuted. Also for a fee, we accept motor oil ($1 per gal), anti-freeze ($3 per gal), yard clippings ($14.00 per cubic yd), wood pallets and unfinished wood ($12.00 per cubic yd). We sell organic compost for $4 per 2 cubic ft bag or $25.00 per cubic yd (8 bags). For buy-back: aluminum cans ($1.55 per lb), glass containers with CRV ($0.102 per lb), plastic containers with CRV ($0.89 per lb). Inquire for other materials with buy back values at the center. disposal system. It provides individuals, companies and institutions a way of
disposing of used hypodermic needles, lancets, test strips and other medical
waste. Each system includes a specially designed container, a postage-prepaid
return box and tracking form; to ensure your medical waste will be delivered
safely by the U.S. Postal Service to a certified medical waste resource recovery
facility for destruction.
