Our people in action.
We take pride in the way our employees embrace
our corporate values and make them a part of their work. On the
job, we see these values exhibited in actions that go beyond the
call of duty.
Our drivers perform acts of citizenship every day
as they work their way through neighborhoods and business districts.
Their familiarity with homes and businesses along their routes puts
them in a unique position to spot and immediately report unusual
activity. They notice when an elderly person’s trash is not
set out as usual, or a door is open that should not be. Often, they
are the first to report an accident or fire, and also the first
to help rescue people in danger. Sometimes, the actions they take
save lives. They are the everyday heroes of their communities and
of our company.
It makes us proud to see our people working this
way. And we’re happy to share a couple true stories about our
employees that highlight their selfless acts
of heroism and their dedication to service in the community.
