Waste Management’s 2010 Sustainability Report is now available online at www.wm.com. Updating information from 2008, the new document provides a detailed accounting of the company’s entire scope of operations—from traditional waste collection and disposal to information about emerging technologies. The report also includes:

  • Quantitative data on overall greenhouse gas emissions, renewable energy production and fleet management; and
  • Updates on the company’s 2020 sustainability goals

“We remain committed to updating our environmental progress every two years,” said David Steiner, president and CEO of Waste Management. “The 2010 Sustainability Report was a major undertaking, and it is a terrific body of information for anyone interested in what our company does or what happens to their waste once it is thrown away.”
