TRANSFORMERS™: Age of Extinction Premieres June 27th
Employees can see the film this summer
HOUSTON – This Friday, TRANSFORMERS™: Age of Extinction releases in theaters, featuring action, adventure and an exciting partnership with Waste Management. Since the beginning of June, the company has worked closely with Paramount Pictures on a multi-platform and experiential campaign around the film.
This includes community events, customer and employee sweepstakes, movie ticket giveaways, social media promotion and more. Now employees, customers and fans of the TRANSFORMERS™ franchise will have an opportunity to view the movie and see for themselves what the buzz has been all about.
“Our goal was to create excitement around this event,” said Dave Aardsma, chief sales and marketing officer. “We’re excited about our relationship with Paramount Pictures and are looking forward to seeing the movie.”
While the film opens in theaters this week, Waste Management internal promotions of the film will continue until the end of July to coincide with its Community Connection sweepstakes.
As a reminder to employees, every time you make a connection through Community Connection, and then submit on the Mission to a Million sweepstakes page, you will automatically receive one entry for a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles and Paramount Studios. There is no limit to the number of entries you can make, so the more connections you make the more chances you have to win!
In addition, Waste Management is also currently preparing a campaign around the launch of a branded TRANSFORMERS action figure, developed through a partnership with Hasbro. Taking place later this year, the toy (named Junk Heap) is expected to have major appeal among both kids and toy stores across North America.
More information about the action figure will be released in the coming months. At that time, the company will disseminate information to its employees on availability, pricing and ordering.
