Canadian employee wins major reality show

Limongelli named Host with the Most

Vancouver, B.C. – Congrats to Limongelli, public sector sales representative for Waste Management, who
in November won Canada’s number one reality show, Come Dine with Me. Taking place throughout an entire
week, Come Dine with Me challenges five cooks to host a dinner party at each of their homes. The contestants,
tasked with both cooking and hosting, are scored by other contestants.

After the final dinner party, all points are tallied and a winner is revealed. Both Limongelli and his wife, Genevieve,
have been avid fans of the show since it first aired in the UK. When it finally arrived in Canada, he emailed the
producer to ask about getting an appearance. Four seasons later, the producer replied to Limongelli, who
(long story short) made it on the program as a competitor.

Of Italian descent, Limongelli used his episode as an opportunity to showcase his heritage.

“For my cook off, I made a prosciutto, arugula and cambozola pizzetta on the BBQ with my variation on the classic
tomato bocconcini salad,” he said. “My main course was a slow roasted lamb shank in a Tuscan tomato gravy, along
with homemade gnocchi. My dessert was an invention of mine and a first for the show. It was a cappuccino mille foglie
that features a puff pastry made from scratch.”

For the party itself, Limongelli converted his garage into a nightclub, equipped with a DJ and laser lights, which got
his guests dancing. In the end, he scored 32 points out of 40 — enough to take home the top prize.

“Winning was amazing,” Limongelli said. “I love to cook but this really gave me a chance to not only showcase my heritage
and take home some prize money, but most importantly to earn the title of Host With The Most in Vancouver.”
