From Valentine’s Day to Christmas

Houston – Throughout 2014, Waste Management will offer multiple promotions to attract
new and existing customers. Advertised through various channels — including online at
wm.com – these campaigns have garnered favorable results in the past.

In 2013, the company’s second annual Arbor Day campaign, where WM donated $1 for
every new residential or small-to-medium business customer, netted 4,300 new business
customers, 4,100 new residential customers and funded more than 8,400 trees. Here’s
what the company has in store for 2014.

Dumpster.com. During every season of the year, customers looking to rent a dumpster
will be able to get a $25 Virtual Reward Card using a promo code that’s available
through advertising. In addition, each campaign will have a different look to match the
time of year, like fireworks for the New Year (see photo).

Earth Day. From March 3 – April 25, WM’s Earth Day campaign will support one acre
of wildlife habitat for every new recycling customer, which will help bird habitats during
annual spring migrations. In addition, the company will award one new customer, one
existing customer and two sales employees with an eco-trip to the High Island
Nature Reserve in Texas.

Arbor Day. Now entering its third year, the company’s Arbor Day promotion will plant
trees in the same areas as new and existing customers. Lasting from May 26 – Aug. 31,
it will also award one new customer, one existing customer and two sales employees
with a trip to Redwood Forest National Park in California.

America Recycles Day. From Oct. 14 – Dec. 6, Waste Management will promote its
America Recycles Day campaign, during which one new and existing customer, as well
as two sales employees, will have an opportunity to win a trip to the 2015 Waste
Management Phoenix Open.

All of this year’s promotions will have an emphasis on teaching customers to Recycle Often.
