Site celebrates 17 years of zero accidents
Los Angeles, Calif. – Operations Manager Sterling Mansfield had to check facility records before
responding to a question about when the last OSHA recordable injury occurred at Mission Road
Transfer and Recycling Center.
“Someone broke his ankle when he jumped from the first step of his Cat 950G to the ground,”
Sterling reported after his research. No injury has happened again for 17 years. During that time:
- 3.95 million tons of materials have been processed and moved
- 40 employees have come and gone
- An employee’s kid has grown to become an adult and now joins his father at work
