Through the Waste Management Phoenix Open, we helped raise more than $10 million in 2017 for numerous Arizona charities including Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children, Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix Zoo, Special Olympics of Arizona, United Food Bank and many more. In addition, we donated 30,000 lbs. of unused food and 25,000 lbs. of re-usable fencing, carpet and banners to local nonprofits. The tournament also supports Change the Course and has restored more than 161 million gallons of water to Northern Arizona’s Verde River and the Colorado River Basin.

We prioritize requests that emphasize:

  • Environment. We are committed to preserving natural resources and creating cleaner communities. We support organizations and programs that protect or enhance natural resources and local spaces.
  • Environmental Education. Through diverse education initiatives we can instill respect for our natural resources and inspire action to preserve our environment. Waste Management supports environmental education programs that drive these objectives, including recycling-related projects, science fairs and Earth Day events.
  • Causes important to the communities we serve. Waste Management is committed to enhancing communities through programs that help make them cleaner and better places to live. Our local teams are proactive in identifying charities located in the communities they serve.
