Landfill Consolidation
Waste Management is in the process of obtaining approvals for the consolidation of the Antelope Valley Recycling & Disposal Facility to meet the ever-increasing waste disposal needs of the Antelope Valley. Currently, there are two landfill cells at the site separated by 11 acres of unused property. By increasing the footprint of the landfill to incorporate this unused property, we will be able to logically join the two cells into one area, helping to increase the capacity of the facility and extend its life, while significantly delaying the need for additional landfills in the community.
