The Waste Management Baldwin Park Scholarship program is open to graduating high school seniors residing in the City of Baldwin Park that have overcome adversity in their quest to graduate and pursue their educational goals. Students must have a current semester/grading period GPA of 2.5 or higher, complete an essay, attend an interview and provide 2 letters of reference to be considered. Scholarships ranging in the amounts of $500 to $2500 will be awarded by April 17, 2015 with a total of $2500 being awarded each year. If selected, scholarship awardees must be able to provide proof of registration or acceptance to an educational institution. Award check will be provided to the institution on behalf of the recipient, not to the individual. Scholarship will be forfeited if proof of enrollment is not received by November 1.

The Waste Management Baldwin Park Internship program is open to High School Sophomore, Junior and Senior residents in the City of Baldwin Park. If you enjoy community outreach, public speaking and have an interest in the sustainability field, apply for this exciting summer internship! Students must have a current semester/grading period GPA of 3.0 or higher, complete an essay, attend an interview, be available to work June 2nd-August 29th, provide 2 letters of reference and obtain a work permit if selected.

Waste Management has served the City of Baldwin Park for over 40 years. The location at Stewart and Live Oak Avenue originally housed the Otting Family’s “Websters Refuse Disposal” that began its operations in 1931.
Waste Management purchased Websters in 1976 and has been the base of operations for Waste Management ever since serving Baldwin Park and other San Gabriel/Pomona Valley communities.
Effective July 1, 2015, your Waste Management invoice will reflect a rate increase of 2.31% approved by the City.
