Community CommitmentRedwood Landfill

Waste Management and the Redwood Landfill are committed to public safety and environmental stewardship. The overcrossing is tangible evidence of this commitment. In addition to the $7.7 million in construction costs, all on-going maintenance costs will be shouldered by the Redwood Landfill.

Future

The Redwood Landfill Overcrossing is a model for public/private partnership. Together, Redwood Landfill and its public partners addressed a common concern for traffic safety. They also planned for the future. In the event the proposed Marin-Sonoma Narrows highwaywidening project is approved, the overcrossing could be turned over to the State, to be incorporated into the new corridor.
