Green Waste

Acceptable Materials for Green Waste Cart:

Please place acceptable organic material in your organics cart (Gray with Brown Lid). Ideally, those materials should be either lose or in a paper bag. Plastic bags are considered contamination. BPI approved compostable bags are acceptable.

Leaves

Leaves can be placed in paper bags and placed next to your Organics Cart ONLY during leaf drop season from November 1 through January 31).

Holiday Trees

Please trim holiday trees so they can fit in your organics cart.

• Branches more than 5 feet in length, more than 6 inches in diameter or weighing more than 50 pounds
• Tree stumps

• Palm Fronds

• Animal waste
• Palm tree branches
• Yucca plants
• Ice plants
• Painted wood
• Treated wood
