Waste Management JMK Fibers, which opened in 2013, operates in a 90,000 square foot building located on a 10-acre site within the Port of Tacoma and has 24 shipping/receiving docks.
The facility includes a new state-of-the-art sort line operation and new balers. It is a modern sorting facility capable of handling a wide range of recyclable materials.
The materials we process include:
- Single-stream recyclables (loose)
- Old corrugated containers (OCC) (loose and baled)
- Many types of paper roll stock
- Many grades of paper
- Baled plastics
- Plastic roll stock
The facility is conveniently located across the street from the Washington United Terminal (WUT), one of four terminals in the Port of Tacoma.
All four terminals encompass approximately 20 different steamship lines, which provide us with the capability to ship to most ports overseas.
In addition to our shipments to the export markets, we also ship to various Pacific Northwest domestic mills.
