Fluorescent Bulb Recycling

Energy-saving CFL bulbs are a great idea — as long as the burnt-out bulbs are properly recycled. CFL bulbs contain mercury, which can harm people and the environment. With our innovative CFL Recycling Kit, you can help us keep the bulbs out of landfills and allow the mercury to be safely reclaimed and reused.

The kit is a combination storage-and-shipping box with an interior Mercury VaporLok® bag. It’s the safest way to store the bulbs in your home until you have enough to ship back. Each kit holds up to 13 CFL bulbs.

Order your kit online and follow the simple instructions to store the CFLs. At your convenience, ship them back to us through the U. S. Postal Service. The postage has already been paid, and the shipping label is attached.

Battery Recycling

With so many battery-powered devices in our lives, it’s easy for dead household batteries to pile up. Working together, we can reclaim the valuable metals they contain and prevent those batteries from entering landfills, where they can cause environmental pollution.

Our Think Green From Home® Dry Cell Battery Recycling Kit lets you store used batteries as they accumulate. When the kit is full, simply seal it and mail it back to us. All materials, including a U.S. Postal Service prepaid return shipping label, are provided.

How many batteries does your household have lying around?

  • On average, households purchase about 24 dry-cell batteries every year.
  • This totals about three billion batteries annually.

With your help, we can make sure those batteries get recycled and their components are available to make into new products, including brand new batteries.
