Diversity Outreach

Waste Management is a proud partner with the communities in which we work, live and serve. Strategically, our focus is to support minority and women’s organizations that strive to improve opportunities for professional development and advancement. We feel these efforts are key to increasing a diverse workforce. Each of us at Waste Management play a role in supporting workforce diversity by attracting, developing, and retaining a wide spectrum of individuals who are passionate about the work they do and are eager to share their perspectives and talents.
As a community partner, Waste Management has developed a number of community partnerships that enhance our understanding of social and cultural contributors to diversity. The following programs are examples of our outreach efforts.

National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA)
Waste Management sponsors the National Black MBA Association Conference each year, giving our associates an opportunity to network and recruit talented African-American MBA professionals and offer career counseling. Waste Management employees are also active in local chapter events and programs.
