Marty Tufte and Chip Wertz receive natural gas vehicles awards

LONG BEACH, Calif.  Two Waste Management employees were recognized recently for their work in  advancing natural gas as a vehicle fuel. NGV Global, an international organization dedicated to promoting the use of vehicles powered by natural gas or biomethane, represents more than 300 companies including WM.

Marty Tufte, corporate fleet director, and Chip Wertz, director of fleet facility infrastructure, were both recognized at the event.

Tufte and Wertz received their awards on behalf of “the best internal and external team in the industry. The progress that Waste Management has made on natural gas would not be possible without them.”

WM operates more than 3,000 natural gas trucks and has 57 natural gas stations.
