Strategic Accounts bags Kroger

Approximately 2,500 stores around the country will be serviced

HOUSTON – WM was recently awarded a three-year contract for a large portion of the solid waste and single stream work for Kroger, one of the nation’s largest grocers. The new agreement, which is scheduled to launch on October 1, is the largest contract WM has won with a national grocery chain to date. Approximately 2,500 stores around the country will be serviced.

“Some grocers want to be leaders in sustainability while others are followers,” said Tim Henry, strategic business director for WM. “Kroger most definitely wants to be a leader. Our contract with them is the first step in forming a national partnership that will allow us to help them reach their destination.”
