Toyota promotes green manufacturing
WM appears in automaker’s sustainability report
San Antonio – GM isn’t the only car company Waste Management has helped achieve significant sustainability
milestones. At Toyota’s truck assembly plant in San Antonio, WM has partnered with the automaker to reduce
landfill waste by 71 percent. In addition, Toyota delivers 65 tons of waste each month to WM’s SpecFuel plant,
a first-of-its-kind facility that converts waste into a pelletized form that is used as a fuel supplement for coal.
