Q. Where should I place my carts for collection?
A. Carts are to be placed street/curbside the night before your collection day. Place carts side-by-side, at least 2 feet apart, with their handles facing your home. The driver will move them to the truck to be emptied.

Q. What are the hours of collection?
A. Service hours are Monday – Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Q. How do I recycle used motor oil?
A. You can recycle up to two (2) gallons per week. For oil jugs, call VWM at (925) 935-8900. Place oil in Waste Management oil jugs only and set out curbside beside your Recycling cart for collection.

Q. I’m interested in home composting. Where can I get more information?
A. Call Central Contra Costa Solid Waste Authority at (925)906-1801 or visit www.wastediversion.org.

Q. What if I have a physical difficulty taking my carts to the curb?
A. Request a doctor’s note and fax it to (866)927-3635. Be sure to contact Customer Service at (925)935-8900 to confirm receipt of the fax.
