Recycling is once a week, from your curbside on one of your regular collection days.
As a resident of the Town of Juno Beach, you are doing your part to help protect and preserve some of our valuable natural resources. Some of the products we purchase almost daily can be turned into recycle materials.
Use your yellow bin for newspaper and more
- Newspaper and newspaper inserts
- Magazines, catalogs and phone books
- Brown paper grocery bags
- Clean, flattened corrugated boxes, 3'x3' maximum (look for the wavy line between layers)
Use the blue bin for all the rest
- Clear brown and green glass bottles and jars (no lids or caps, please)
- All plastic containers except Foam cups or packing materials
- Drink boxes (please remove straws)
- Aluminum cans, pie plates and foil
- Milk and juice cartons
In stormy weather, stack papers on the bottom of the bin. Place bins at the curb, or no further than 6 ft. from the street, so they can be easily seen by your collector.
Please no plastic bags, bulbs or ceramics in your recycling bin.
Only use recycling bins for recyclables. If there are other types of trash or garbage in your bins, we may have to leave them behind.
Vegetative Waste - twice-a-week
What is vegetative waste? Any cut limbs, palm fronds, branches, bushes, twigs, or grass clipping are considered "yard waste." Follow the basic preparations below to help dispose of your material properly.
Large branches and limbs
Branches, limbs and other cuttings should be bundled, tied and should not exceed 6 feet in length or weigh more than 50 pounds.
Grass clippings, leaves and small twigs or branches must be placed in sturdy plastic bags with tied tops or in containers (with lids) not to exceed 32 gallons or weigh more than 50 lbs.
Large Vegetative Waste Pile Collection
Vegetative waste piles up to eight cubic yards will be collected twice a week, on the same days as your regular household garbage. Tip: Eight cubic yards of material is enough to fill a small dumpster, or 12'long x 4' wide x 4.5' tall.
All piles larger than 8 cubic yards will be collected within 2 business days of your regularly scheduled yard waste collection day. These piles that are not collected on your regularly scheduled day will be "tagged" with an information card notifying you that the pile was too large and has already been scheduled for pickup.
Bulk Trash Collection for Single Family homes
What is bulk trash? Non vegetative items which cannot be containerized, bagged or bundled; including, but not limited to, inoperative and discarded refrigerators, ranges, toilets, washers, dryers, bath tubs, water heaters, sinks, bicycles, and other similar appliances, household goods, minor "do it yourself" projects construction debris, and furniture.
Bulk trash items should be put out for collection on your first collection day of the week. These items will be collected on your first collection day of the week.
Please - No hazardous waste
Materials like paints and pesticides, pool chemicals, anti-freeze and engine oil need to be disposed of in special ways.
