CLOSING FEBRUARY 28, 2014
The Public Drop off facility at the site has closed as of February 28, 2014. The site is no longer accepting material for waste or recycling.
The Richmond Landfill closed on June 30, 2011. At that time we reached our capacity. Site closure activities will continue until August 31, 2011. The closure plan, which was approved by the Ministry of the Environment for the site will be implemented to ensure that the monitoring of groundwater and gas and leachate collection continue as required.
