Davis Street is the first and currently the only 3rd party certified mixed C&D debris recycling facility in Alameda County, with diversion rates recognized by San Francisco, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, and the U.S. Green Building Council LEED™ rating system.

It provides recycling documentation via Green Halo and a WM-proprietary tracking program, which satisfies local permitting requirements as well as LEED™ (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) and GreenPoint Rated projects.

Recycling/Reuse

Davis Street offers both Recycling and Reuse drop off for a variety of household and commercial materials including:

  • Appliances
  • Electronics
  • Mattresses
  • Motor Oil
  • Tires

It is free to drop off aluminum and metal cans, cardboard, glass bottles, paper, and plastic bottles.

Using compost and mulch recycled from curbside organics and construction wood can help you save water and avoid the use of chemical fertilizers and herbicides.

Trash is not sorted to recover recyclables. Please separate organics and recyclables at your home and office.

Did You Know

Nearly 9,000 pounds of clean wood is captured each day at Davis Street and turned into landscape mulch at our WM EarthCare facility in Fremont.

Disposal of electronics in a landfill is prohibited by law.
