Proposed Plans

To better serve the surrounding communities and their business needs, WM is proposing to extend its hazardous waste operations. The proposal seeks the following approvals:

• Authorization to increase the capacity at the existing hazardous waste landfill (B-18 landfill).
  
• Authorization to construct a new hazardous waste landfill (B-20 landfill) to open once B-18 landfill has reached capacity.

Subsequent Environmental Impact Report (SEIR)

Extensive studies were conducted by CH2M Hill, an independent engineering and consulting firm, to analyze the environmental impact of WM's proposal. The findings — which include an analysis of air and water quality, hydrology, traffic, along with project impacts and mitigations — are available in a Subsequent Environmental Impact Report (SEIR).
