Landfill Operations Update

Grand Central Landfill is committed to keeping the community informed. Below, you will find the most recent copy of the landfill operations neighborhood update.

1. Landfill operations: We are currently accepting an average of 2300 tons per day and all operations have moved to cell 17.
2. The PH Building construction is ongoing and is expected to be completed sometime at the end of March.
3. The final cap project: 70% of protective cover is down. Topsoil will be placed in the spring.
4. Spring Gas Project is currently in the design and planning.
5. Wildlife Habitat Education: The Annual Great Backyard Bird Count with Rich Eime and WM team will be held on February 16 at 10am.
