Year End Review for 2022

WM was a proud supporter of the Youth About Business Juneteenth Celebration. We enjoyed helping set up for the fun-filled event for the community.

We are proud supporters of the Harpeth River Conservancy. We had a blast participating in their Harpeth Family Fun Day, teaching patrons the importance of and how to recycle right. We are excited about the upcoming year and adding more projects to our partnership.

Our Area Leadership Team and Southern Services staff members served together picking up litter alongside our TDOT Adopt-A-Highway.

We love our touch a truck events! We enjoyed participating in many Touch A Trucks throughout the city in 2022.

Our partnership with UpRise Nashville has been an excellent one. From participating in their Career Conversations and Employer Panels and having an UpRise graduate, now WM Commercial driver speak at their Evening of Songs and Stories, we are honored to be involved with this wonderful organization.

We were excited to host open-house style tours with Metro Waste Services for America Recycles Day to showcase our Materials Recovery Facility and how recycling works in Nashville.

We loved hosting a Back-to-School Movie night for our neighbors in the Bordeaux community. We had bounce houses, face painting, yard games, Space Jam, and of course our Dumpster Diner serving up hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone!

Education is one of our favorite ways to give back to the community. In addition to off-site Lunch and Learns, we loved hosting a variety of groups and organizations at our disposal and recycling facilities and our Wildlife Habitat.

One of our favorite things we do is partner with the Northwest YMCA and their annual Angel Tree. We were able to help spread joy to 280 children this holiday season!
