Leaf Removal Program - October through February

Keep your fall leaves out of landfills! Leaves and other greenwaste can be put to work as groundcover and mulch instead of adding to landfill waste. If your fall leaves do not fit in your greenwaste cart, feel free to use your own containers for the extra leaves, call Customer Service for additional (free) carts, or use plastic yard bags (only during October through February). Please place plastic bags filled with leaves on or adjacent to your greenwaste carts, otherwise the driver will have no way of knowing what is in the closed plastic bag and will treat the contents as trash! Additional greenwaste, such as branches and trimmings, can be bundled with twine and left curbside.

If you are unclear about how to dispose of your fall leaves, call Customer Service for advice. We want to make sure that your greenwaste does its job as groundcover or mulch - and doesn’t end up in the landfills.

Composting

Compost your food scraps and yard trimmings to make your garden grow!

Christmas Tree Recycling

Keep Christmas trees out of the landfills! Clean Christmas trees up to ten feet in length, without stands and flocking, will be picked up at curbside on the first two Wednesdays after Christmas. Place your Christmas tree next to your greenwaste recycling container. More information will be available from Customer Service in December. Please Note: this service is for two weeks only.
