Residential Services

You can set out as many 32-gallon cans (with lids) or plastic (tied tops) bags as needed. Each can or bag can weigh up to 50 lbs. Just make sure the lids and ties are secured. This helps to keep dogs and other animals away, and the area clean.

Curbside Tips

In stormy weather, stack papers on the bottom of the bin. Place bins at the curb, or no further than 6 ft. from the street, so they can be easily seen by your collector.

Please no plastic bags, bulbs or ceramics in your recycling bin.

Only use recycling bins for recyclables. If there are other types of trash or garbage in your bins, we may have to leave them behind.

Vegetative Waste - One time per week on WEDNESDAY

What is vegetative waste? Any cut limbs, palm fronds, branches, bushes, twigs, or grass clipping are considered "yard waste." Follow the basic preparations below to help dispose of your material properly.

We suggest not to cut any yardwaste with a named storm with a predicted Florida landfall.

Large branches and limbs

Branches, limbs and other cuttings should be bundled, tied and should not exceed 5 feet in length or weigh more than 50 pounds.

Small clippings

Grass clippings, leaves and small twigs or branches must be placed in containers (with lids) not to exceed 32 gallons or weigh more than 50 lbs or in a biodegradable container.

Note: Yard waste set out in plastic bags will be picked up with household garbage.

Large Vegetative Waste Pile Collection

All pieces of yard waste must be no wider than 6" in diameter and no longer than 5' in length for curbside pick up. Vegetative waste piles up to eight cubic yards will be collected one time per week on Wednesdays.

Tip: Eight cubic yards of material is enough to fill a small dumpster, or 12'long x 4' wide x 4.5' tall.

All piles larger than 8 cubic yards but less than 20 cubic yards will be collected within 7 business days of your regularly scheduled yard waste collection day. All piles greater than 20 cubic yards will be collected 20 cubic yards per week until the entire pile is removed. These piles that are not collected on your regularly scheduled day will be "tagged" with an information card notifying you that the pile was too large and has already been scheduled for pick up.

Bulk Trash Collection for Single Family homes

What is bulk trash? Non vegetative items which cannot be containerized, bagged or bundled; including, but not limited to, inoperative and discarded refrigerators, ranges, toilets, washers, dryers, bath tubs, water heaters, sinks, bicycles, and other similar appliances, household goods, and furniture.

Note: Any single household items noted above weighing less than 50 lbs will be picked up by the regular solid waste driver.

All bulky waste should be placed curbside on your regularly scheduled collection day. Bulky waste not collected will be "tagged" with an information card notifying you that it has already been scheduled for pickup. All bulky waste shall be collected within 5 business days of your regularly scheduled collection day. This does not include cars, boats, or engines.
