Welcome to the Waste Management Supplier Portal

Waste Management is pleased to announce our plan to transition to the Ariba Network. Our vision is to make the procurement process as paperless and efficient as possible.  Waste Management has selected Ariba’s Spend Management Solution as the technology platform to enable these processes. Many of our suppliers are already transacting with Ariba and should have a seamless transition. For those that are not familiar, Ariba is the leading ecommerce company in connecting buyers with their suppliers. The Ariba Network will be used by Waste Management to send purchase orders and to receive invoices. We believe this will provide benefits to Waste Management and our suppliers.  A few of the benefits that you as a supplier may see once the system has been completely implemented include:

•Greater control over order processing •Better communication and visibility with Waste Management •Greater standardization •Low cost trading network •Opportunities to take part in greater discount management and sourcing programs •Greater business opportunities with other Ariba Buyers

This new system is expected to be implemented across Waste Management facilities starting in May 2011 and rolling-out regionally over the next 18 months.
