WM is committed to supporting the communities where we live and work by providing access to education, protecting and providing access to green space and filling gaps in communities to help drive positive impacts For Tomorrow®.

How Williamson County Landfill is driving change:

  • Attending and supporting events hosted by the Hutto Chamber of Commerce including the chamber luncheons, Hutto Olde Tyme Days Festival, and the Hutto Chamber Annual Gala.
  • Sponsoring Keep Hutto Beautiful’s Great Hutto Cleanup which offers a free junk round up for all citizens within the Hutto ISD boundary.
  • Sponsoring the Williamson County Fair and Rodeo.
  • Participating in the City of Hutto’s Frights at Orgain.

Williamson County Landfill Pollinator Garden

At the facility entrance, a vibrant pollinator garden greets visitors, showcasing native plants carefully selected and maintained by the local chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas (NPSOT) in partnership with WM. Designed to support butterflies, bees, and other animals, the garden not only enhances the landscape’s beauty but also highlights the importance of sustainable practices and biodiversity in the community.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection

WM hosts a twice-a-year Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days for residents of Williamson County. PLEASE NOTE: Household hazardous wastes are NOT accepted at the Hutto Recycling Center.

  • October 25, 2025, from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Williamson County Central Maintenance Facility located at 3151 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626. View a flyer for the event here

Past Events

Guidelines

  • If possible, bring products in original containers.
  • Do not mix or consolidate products.
  • Separate and group your items prior to drop-off and label them.
  • Properly seal containers to prevent leaking.
  • Haul containers in trunk or back of vehicle, away from passengers.
  • Please let volunteers help you unload your items.
  • Only go through the line one time.
  • No trailers longer than 16-feet will be accepted.
  • No walkups
  • No contractors or business refuse will be accepted

Residents should bring proof of Williamson County residency (driver’s license or billing statement)
