Lyon County, NV Home Trash Service

WM provides 64- and 96-gallon carts (green lid) to collect trash. Lyon County customers may use their own 32-gallon container.

• Place carts on the street with wheels against the curb and handle facing your house the night before your scheduled collection or by 6 a.m.
• Keep carts at least three feet apart from each other and other obstacles that may interfere with your curbside pickup.
• After collection, promptly bring your carts back inside to maintain a clean and safe neighborhood.

Securely bag all trash and refrain from overfilling your cart. Ensure the lid closes tightly to prevent litter, minimize odors, and safeguard the environment and wildlife.

Acceptable Items:
Include standard household trash such as chip bags, plastic bags, and textiles (please consider donation for lightly used items).

Unacceptable Items:
Construction waste, auto parts, tires, household hazardous waste (paint, oil, household cleaners), medical or electronic waste, and food scraps.
