Commercial Waste Service in Alpharetta, GA

Size matters when it comes to garbage. WM has many bin, dumpster and container options available to handle all of your waste and recycling needs. We make it easy to have your account serviced so you can get back to your business.

Front load containers, bins and dumpsters are most often used for non-residential, business or commercial waste collection. You can arrange for one or more 2-,4-, 6- or 8-cubic-yard containers. Front load containers are good for office buildings, manufacturing plants and offices, distribution centers, apartments, multi-family properties and residential buildings, hotels, schools and universities, shopping centers, grocery stores, convenience stores, service stations, auto body shops, nail salons, hair and grooming stores, restaurants, lunch counters, delis, healthcare offices, urgent care locations, hospitals, health testing facilities and strip malls.

There is little difference between a front-load dumpster, bin or container and a rear-loading one. They will still have the same capacity for trash and refuse. The way the trash truck picks up the dumpster is the key difference. With front-loading dumpsters, there is a metal sleeve on each end where the truck fork inserts and the container is lifted and emptied over the top of the truck cab. The rear-loading container is not as prominent and empties into the trash truck differently.

Slanted-top bins are better suited for very cold environments. Melting snow and ice will drain off the slanted tops. Both tops are made of hard core plastic. The base of the bins (or containers) are made of steel.

WM of Alpharetta will consult with you to identify a location(s) that is easily accessible for our trucks and drivers and also safe for your customers and clean-up employees.

We take trash off your hands. Pick up is minimally one time a week, with additional days available, if required. We make it easy to up-size your container or arrange for additional pickups based on the seasonality and peaks of your business.

WM recognizes that our business customers have many different priorities and that their time is valuable. We offer 24/7 online support through our My WM portal and online chat features. We provide alerts and notifications digitally and allow you to sign up for autopay and paperless billing. The My WM account portal allows you track and manage your business account's records in the cloud.

• Roll-off containers are used by construction, demolition and remodel businesses, as well as those that generate large waste loads, such as manufacturing plants.

• Many different sizes of roll-off dumpsters are available from WM. Most popular sizes include dumpsters with 20-, 30- and 40-cubic-yards of capacity. Roll-off dumpsters and bins can be placed in safe and accessible areas.

• WM trucks will need to be able to access the dumpster in order to remove it. Once emptied, it can be replaced in its original or other designated location.

• Some types of waste, especially hazardous, are not allowed in roll-off dumpsters and/or require an additional fee.

• Contact us to order your roll-off dumpster or to ask about what materials can and cannot be placed in a roll-off container.

• Roll-off dumpsters are ideal for manufacturers, large retailers, commercial or residential renovations, construction and demolition firms, land, yard or tree clearing trimming and removal, festivals and large events, and agricultural harvests.

• A compactor is a fully enclosed machine that reduces the size of waste material through compaction. It is powered by electricity. WM compactors are fully enclosed.

• They range in size from 2-cubic-yards to 40-cubic-yards.

• The mechanical blade within the container compacts the loaded-in waste materials.

• Compactors are ideal for businesses which generate large waste levels or utilize significant quantities of recyclable materials. The compactor helps them not need to allocate large amounts of space for waste storage or holding.

• Upfront costs for compactors are typically larger than that of roll-off dumpsters. However, savings are yielded due to reduced trash pickup counts or recycling sell-offs.

• Compactors are often used by hospitals, distribution centers, manufacturing companies, industrial plants and recycling centers.

• Because of the internal blade, employee training is recommended prior to installing a compactor. Ask WM for training ideas and solutions, if needed.
