Ashland has partnered with WM to provide residential waste service that sets the standard for sustainable trash disposal and recycling.
Residential Pickup Schedules
Ashland runs on a Tuesday through Friday schedule. Monday holidays will not effect your pickup. Check for holidays that may affect your service.

Service & Collection Information
WM provides weekly trash collection. Resident can purchase Pay as You Throw bags. Rates vary based on number of bags purchased.
Container Setout Instructions
Place bags on the street against the curb by 7 a.m. on collection days and remove same day. Keep bags at least three (3) feet from parked cars, mailboxes, and other obstacles that may prevent WM team members from picking it up.
How to Prepare Your Materials
All trash should be bagged and placed out for collection.
What Belongs in Your Container
Acceptable items include standard household trash like food waste, chip bags, paper towels, plastic bags, and textiles (donate if lightly used).
Non-acceptable items include construction waste, auto parts, tires, household hazardous waste (paint, oil, household cleaners), medical or electronic waste.

For new service starts, please submit a request for help by clicking here. Select "Continue as Guest,” enter your address, and follow the prompts to submit a request.
Report a Missed Pickup
If your materials were curbside by the specified time and not emptied, please call the Town of Ashland at 508-532-7943.
