“Congratulations to all of the managers and employees in these Areas,” said Jeff Martin, vice president of safety
for Waste Management. “Thank you for all the effort you invested in the 100 Days of Summer Safety program.
Let’s continue that focus this fall season and through 2014.”

“It was a pleasure seeing all of our sites and Areas getting involved with this year’s campaign,” said Jim Trevathan,
executive vice president and chief operating officer.

“Safety is our number one priority for a good reason – it allows our employees to return home in the same condition
as when they left”, said Trevathan. “But safety isn’t something a single person can do, it takes everyone. This year’s
winners are a perfect example of what it takes to make safety a success and I hope to see that kind of teamwork
everywhere we operate.”
