Residential Pickup Schedules

Holiday Schedule

Occasionally, holidays may affect your regular pickup schedule or delivery. If a holiday falls on a weekday, collections for the rest of the week may be pushed back a day. E.g. For a Thursday holiday, service may be on Friday, and Friday service may be Saturday.  For holidays on Saturday, or Sunday, there are no delays. 

If WM provides service twice a week and a holiday falls on one of your service days, there may be no delay. WM will resume collection on your next regularly scheduled service day

Report a Missed Pickup

Please allow until after 6PM local time for pickup to occur - we might still be on the way!

  • If your container was curbside by the specified time and not emptied, click here to report a missed pickup.
  • Missed pickups cannot be reported if your container was not out or was blocked at the time of service. 
  • If you do not see the "Report Missed Pickup for Prior Service" link, that means you are not eligible or are outside the specified time.

Container Placement Tips

 

Depending on local ordinances, proper container placement may vary.

  • Place your container off the sidewalk, at least three (3) feet from other objects and within three (3) feet of the street. Wheels and handle should face your home.
  • Make sure all materials fit in your container(s) and the lid(s) are fully closed.

Become a Recycling Expert

Put materials in the right containers – never mix trash and recyclables. Visit Recycle Right® for more information, rules, and resources.

Recycle clean and dry bottles, cans, paper, and cardboard. Accepted items may vary slightly by location.

Do not place plastic bags or liners in your container (local recycling drop-off programs for bags may be available).

Break down cardboard boxes to keep them from getting stuck in your container.
