If a holiday falls on a weekday, collections for the rest of the week will be pushed back a day. For a Thursday holiday, service would be on Friday, and Friday service would be Saturday. For holidays on Saturday or Sunday, there are no delays.

WM provides 35-, 64- or 96-gallon (black lid) carts to collect trash. Rates vary depending on the selected cart size. To see your service schedule, visit the Pickup Schedule page in My WM.
Place carts curbside with wheels against the curb by 5 a.m. on collection days and remove them the same day. Keep carts at least three feet from parked cars, mailboxes, and other obstacles that may prevent WM team members from picking them up.

Place carts on the street with wheels against the curb and handle of the cart facing your house the night before your scheduled collection or by 5 a.m. on collection days and remove same day.

Place only non-hazardous household garbage in your trash cart.
Unacceptable items
- Hazardous waste (products labeled toxic, poison, corrosive, flammable, or irritant)
- Paint, oil, automotive batteries, tires, hot ashes
- Electronic waste (electronic equipment such as computers, TVs, cell phones, microwave ovens)
- Infectious waste (including used needles), dead animals (weighing more than 10 lbs.)

If containers were curbside by the specified time and were not emptied, you can report a missed pickup online.
