If a holiday falls on a weekday, collections for the rest of the week will be pushed back a day. For a Thursday holiday, service would be on Friday, and Friday service would be Saturday. For holidays on Saturday or Sunday, there are no delays.

WM provides a 96-gallon cart (black) to collect trash.

Container Setout Instructions
Place cart at the curb with wheels against the curb by 7 a.m. on collection days and remove same day. Keep cart at least four feet from parked cars, mailboxes and other obstacles that may prevent WM team members from picking it up.

How to Prepare Your Materials
Don’t overfill your cart — the lid must close tightly. No overflow allowed.
What Belongs in Your Container
Acceptable items include household trash like food, paper towels, glass jars, plastic bags, & textiles (donate if lightly used).
Non-acceptable items include construction/demolition waste, auto parts, tires, household hazardous waste (paint, oil, household cleaners), medical or electronic waste.
What Is Contamination?
Contamination occurs when non-acceptable items are placed in your cart. To avoid potential contamination charges or non-collection, and ensure your recyclables have a shot at becoming new products, it’s important that only the right items make their way.
