Earth Day 2026
When industry leaders unite, every day can feel like Earth Day. In addition to being your most trusted provider, WM is joining forces with trailblazing businesses to drive meaningful collaboration on recycling initiatives.

Marucci & WM
For years, WM has worked with companies like Marucci to support their growing needs through every phase of their journey - from humble beginnings in a small garage workshop to becoming the Official Bat of MLB.

Recycling With Your Favorite Pastime
Since becoming the official sustainability partner of
Major League BaseballTM, WM has launched game day initiatives to increase community involvement, cut food waste and expand recycling education.
Participating sports venues are implementing enhanced recycling systems that can divert more materials from landfills and educate fans at scale.

Giving Your Cups a Second Life
Polypropylene cold beverage cups have officially earned the Widely Recyclable designation from How2Recycle®. With that designation, 60% of U.S. households now have access to recycling programs that accept these cups.
How Does This Impact Your Recyclables?
More Materials Accepted
At least 60% of U.S. households now have access to recycling programs that accept these cups.
Less Contamination
Investing in optical sorting will increase speed and accuracy to avoid contamination at recycling facilities.
Reaching Measurable Goals
By mid-2026, every single-stream recycling facility will be able to accept, sort and market both polypropylene and paper cups.
Hard-to-Recycle Plastics
WM launched a custom solution program with global retailer Anthropologie to collect a hard-to-recycle plastic.
The program has reduced transportation distances for plastic film collection by 50% and diverted over 89,000 pounds of plastic from landfills since its launch. In an effort to expand the program's success, other retailers have reached out to Antrhopologie to learn more about the process and how they can apply it to their business practices.
