If a holiday falls on a weekday, collections for the rest of the week will be pushed back a day. For a Thursday holiday, service would be on Friday, and Friday service would be Saturday. For holidays on Saturday or Sunday, there are no delays.

Service Guides & Instructions
WM provides 35, 64, and 96-gallon carts and 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8-yard bins to collect trash. Rates vary per size. Find your specific collection day and view your service ETA by signing up for a My WM account.
Place containers at the curb with wheels against the curb by 6 a.m. on collection days and remove same day. Keep containers at least four feet from parked cars, mailboxes and other obstacles that may prevent WM team members from picking them up.
Call WM at 530-274-3090.
All trash should be bagged. Don’t overfill your containers— the lid must close tightly. Overflow and materials outside may be subject to additional overage charges or will not be collected.
Acceptable items include standard household trash like chip bags, plastic bags, & textiles (donate if lightly used).
Non-acceptable items include construction waste, auto parts, tires, household hazardous waste (paint, oil, household cleaners), medical or electronic waste and food scraps.
Contamination occurs when non-acceptable items are placed in your cart. To avoid potential contamination charges or non-collection, and ensure your recyclables have a shot at becoming new products, it’s important that only the right items make their way into your containers.
If containers were curbside by the specified time and were not emptied, you can report a missed pickup online.
Have questions about your bill, need to request a container repair, or adjust your communication preferences? My WM self-serve capabilities are convenient and available to help you manage your services online. Sign up for My WM to get started.
