For regular service and holidays

If a holiday falls on a weekday, collections for the rest of the week will be pushed back a day. For a Thursday holiday, service would be on Friday, and Friday service would be Saturday. For holidays on Saturday or Sunday, there are no delays.

WM provides a 96 or 64 gallon cart or a 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, or 6 yard bin for weekly trash collection.

Service Schedule & ETA

View your standard service schedule, next pickup day and get ETA updates on your service day by signing up or logging in to your My WM account. On the My WM dashboard, navigate to the corresponding service card for relevant information.

Container Setout Instructions

All containers should be placed in locations that allow easy access and convenient use by customers and are safely accessible to the hauler. Containers should be placed on a paved or hard and level surface whenever possible.

If container is located in an enclosure or behind locked gates, access must be provided to WM.

How to Prepare Your Materials

All trash should be bagged. Do not overfill your container – the lid must close tightly. Overflow and materials outside may be subject to additional charge or will not be collected.

What Belongs in Your Container

As of January 1, 2022, California state law SB 1383 requires residents to separate food scraps, yard trimmings, and food-soiled paper from trash and recycling.

However, Orland is exempted from this mandate. That means that food waste and food-soiled paper can still be placed in the trash cart.

Acceptable items include non-recyclables, packaging, plastic bags, non-hazardous waste, and textiles (donate if lightly used).

Non-acceptable items include construction waste, auto parts, tires, household hazardous waste (paint, oil, household cleaners), medical waste, and electronic waste.

Report a Missed Pickup

Did you know you can get updates on your service ETA by signing up or logging in to your My WM account? If containers were accessible and were not emptied, you can also report a missed pickup online. On the main dashboard, locate the services card. Click details on current service to submit your missed pickup request.

Missed pickups can only be reported for successful service attempts and within 3 days of the pickup. Visit our support article for more details.
