A Farewell From Your Friends at Morgan Disposal

After 54 years of servicing the Charleston and Mattoon communities, effective October 1, Morgan Disposal has officially sold to WM. Thank you to our many customers that our family has been proud to service.

We have been working on this transition to WM for months to ensure that our customers will have a good experience. Please take a minute to read WM’s letter regarding their plans to maintain pricing without new fees or surcharges.

With a new service provider there will be some changes. For example, WM will be asking customers set out their carts by 6 a.m. on their day of service. WM will service one side of the street at a time and then WM will service the customers on the other side of the street on the way back. WM’s routes pickup times will vary slightly from Morgan’s due to their service protocols.

Like Morgan Disposal, WM’s team lives in the Charleston and Mattoon communities, and cares about ensuring that WM provides great service to the community.

WM of Illinois purchased Morgan Disposal, effective October 1, 2025. With the addition of Morgan Disposal, WM is proud to deliver safe, reliable services to our combined residential, commercial and industrial customers throughout Charleston and Mattoon communities.

Your next step is activating your My WM online profile to gain easy access to your service information. You’ll find your WM account number on the postcard mailed or email sent to you on October 1, or on your first WM invoice.

Once you’ve activated your account, you can view your pickup schedule, enroll in AutoPay and Paperless Billing, set your service notifications and more!
