Prevent missed payments and simplify billing by enrolling in automatic payments through your My WM account. Enrol in both AutoPay and Paperless Billing to be eligible for a waiver of the Administrative Charge on each invoice.

Starting in August 2024, WM’s AutoPay will be part of our all-new digital bill payment system powered by Paymentus, a best-in-class electronic bill presentment and payment provider used by more than 1,900 billers and financial institutions. This upgrade will give AutoPay users the convenience of choosing from a variety of automatic payment methods, including direct debits from a bank account (known as ACH in the U.S. and PAD in Canada), credit cards, debit cards, and popular digital wallet services such as Venmo, PayPal or Google Wallet.

Automatic payments made by direct debit from a bank account will not be subject to a convenience fee from Paymentus. However, Paymentus will charge a convenience fee for each automatic payment made by credit or debit card, or through a digital wallet service such as Venmo, PayPal or Google Wallet. Due to contractual terms or restrictions under provincial or state law, some customers may pay a different convenience fee or be exempt from convenience fees altogether.

For more information on convenience fees for automatic payments, please view the AutoPay Terms & Conditions.

Enrol in both AutoPay and Paperless Billing to be eligible for a waiver of the Administrative Charge on each invoice.

Enrol in AutoPay (Canadian customers)

AutoPay refers to automatic recurring payments using your credit card or direct recurring withdrawals from your chequing account through a Pre-Authorized Debit Agreement (a PAD Agreement). If you are a customer with a Canadian service address, you can choose to set up automatic payments through AutoPay. Payments by AutoPay are drafted 20 days after the invoice date.

If you would like to set up recurring direct withdrawals, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to My WM. If you have more than one account, select the account you want to manage. (Each account will need to be enrolled separately).

  2. Navigate to the "Billing" tile and click Enrol next to AutoPay.

  3. You can set up AutoPay using either a credit/debit card or a bank/chequing account.

  4. If using a bank/chequing account, please enter your 3-digit bank number followed by your 5-digit transit number in the routing number field.

  5. If you're using a chequing account, complete the PAD Agreement and click Continue.

  6. Fill out the payment method field, read the Terms and Conditions and click Add/Continue.

AutoPay may not be available if you pay for service through a homeowners’ association, city or other third party.

When will my automatic payment be charged?

Payments are withdrawn 20 days after the invoice date for Canadian and U.S. customers. This payment withdrawal date may differ from the payment due date specified in the payment terms of your service agreement. Please note that the automatic payment withdrawal date is fixed and cannot be changed.

Cancel AutoPay enrolment

  1. Log in to My WM. If you have more than one account, select the account you want to manage. (Each account will need to be unenrolled separately).

  2. Go to the "Billing" tile on your My WM dashboard.

  3. Select Manage under AutoPay and click Stop AutoPay.

Note: AutoPay cannot be paused. You can either be enrolled in or unenrolled from this feature. AutoPay updates take effect with your next payment cycle.
